Are bars open near me? Here are the current rules for each SF Bay Area county - San Francisco Chronicle

Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered seven California counties where the coronavirus is spreading rapidly to close their bars Sunday. He also recommended but did not require that bars close or remain shuttered in eight other counties, including Santa Clara and Contra Costa in the Bay Area.

Here is the latest rules and information from each Bay Area county on the status of bars reopening:

Alameda: Wineries with on-site restaurants can hold tastings with food pairings outdoors. Pubs, bars, breweries and wineries can serve alcohol only with outdoor sit-down meals. Bars, wineries and other such facilities that do not offer outdoor sit-down dining are not open.

Contra Costa: Outdoor bars, pubs, breweries and wineries that offer sit-down dining are open. Bars and wineries are not open for indoor service.

Marin: Bars, pubs, breweries and wineries that offer outdoor sit-down dining are open. Bars, wineries and other indoor dine-in services are not open.

Napa: Bars, tasting rooms and wineries with physical distancing measures are open.

San Francisco: Bars, wineries and indoor dine-in services are closed. Outdoor bars were scheduled to open June 29 but their reopening is now on hold. (See more information and a calendar with San Francisco’s timeline for reopening here.)

San Mateo: Dine-in restaurants, bars and wineries are open.

Santa Clara: Bars, wineries and indoor sit-down dining are not open.

Solano: Bars, wineries and breweries are open.

Sonoma: Brewpubs, breweries, bars, pubs, craft distilleries, wineries and tasting rooms are open.
