Tiffany Haddish proved #SheReady for anything in her custom Prada gown at Sunday’s 2022 Grammys.
Haddish went full Vegas glam in a rose gold sequin gown with a crystal-embellished neckline and dramatic bow.
The comedienne added Norman Silverman star earrings for a little extra sparkle, and was clearly proud of her red carpet ensemble.
“This what fame look like. This what success look like. This what money look like. This what it look like,” Haddish announced on TikTok, narrating a clip of her arrival.
The sound bite stems from an awkward viral moment from last week’s Oscars, during which “Entertainment Tonight” reporter Lauren Zima asked Haddish about her “little costume change” for the Vanity Fair afterparty.
“I’m not wearing a costume. I’m wearing Dolce & Gabbana. It’s called an evening gown, darling. No one’s paying me for this … This is not an acting gig, this is my life,” Haddish responded at the time, before launching into her “this what fame look like” mini monologue.
The “Girls Trip” star, 42, wasn’t nominated at this year’s Grammys, but she did win Best Comedy Album in 2021.
Haddish joined a whole slew of celebrities sporting gowns with oversize bows, including Tinashe, Kelsea Ballerini and Lady Gaga.
Later in the night, she changed into a sleek orange Dolce & Gabbana suit with dark sunglasses for a Grammys afterparty. The look included oversized shoulder pads reminiscent of Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne’s ’80s ensembles, but did not veer into Justin Bieber territory.
Haddish was styled by Los Angeles-based duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
“It’s something about being single that just makes me feel like I can have it all!” Haddish commented on her own Instagram post of the look, adding, “#sheready tonight a rich man asked to eat my box and he will go away. I think I just might let him have a snack.”
Her followers loved the ’80s aesthetic, with Jaleel White (better known as his “Family Matters” character, Steve Urkel) commenting, “I see Whatchu doin,” and Beyoncé’s mom Tina Lawson writing, “I love this suit on you !!! You are more and more gorgeous everyday!”
What fame looks like, indeed.
