Taylor Swift 'Carolina' Sounds Like THIS Movie Soundtrack? [LISTEN] - Music Times

Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated newest song is finally released, and fans are raving about the track's "ethereal" sound.

Like any Taylor Swift content, fans of the singer have made it a point to dig deep down and analyze her songs to the micro-level.

However, it would not need any microscope for any fan to determine that "Carolina" sounded like another song in Taylor Swift's bustling discography.

Taylor Swift 'Carolina' Finally Released for 'Where The Crawdads Sing'

Released as part of the official soundtrack of the movie adaptation of the novel "Where The Crawdads Sing," the new Taylor Swift hit truly embodied the film's vibe and theme.

Coinciding with the release of the song and its lyric video, Taylor revealed that he had written the song a year and a half ago - the same period when Swift's "Folklore" was released.

Taylor announced her involvement in the project last March 2022 - meeting a mixed reception from Swifties. While others are hyped because of a new song from Taylor Swift's vault, some Swifties have learned that the singer's involvement was questionable.

Controversies have arisen at the time of Taylor's announcement. Apparently, Delia Owens, the author of "Where The Crawdads Sing," was embroiled in a chilling murder fiasco in Africa previously.

But despite the backlash the movie and the author received, the song release continued. In fact, the GRAMMY-winning artist even revealed that she only used instruments made before 1953.

"Where The Crawdads Sing" was set around the early 1950s until the late 1960s.

Taylor Swift 'Carolina,' 'Safe & Sound' Siblings?

As usual, fans have the best reactions to Taylor's recent release. But among the plethora of memes and rave comments, fans have seemingly agreed on one thing - it sounded just like one of Taylor's previous tracks.

Fans strike similarities on the 2011 hit song "Safe & Sound," which won the GRAMMY for Best Song Written For Visual Media in 2011 as it was used in the blockbuster film "The Hunger Games."

The two tracks are eerily similar as it boasts "haunting and ethereal" sounds and vibes. Fans have pointed out that the only difference between the two is the time period of the movies where the songs were used.

"Where The Crawdads Sing" is set in the 1950s, while "The Hunger Games" takes place in a dystopian era somewhere in the year 3000s.
