The Mini family is set to expand with a new addition known as the Aceman . Shortly after we captured images of a prototype clad in camouflage during testing, a pair of intriguing renderings of the new model surfaced.

The Mini Aceman will be positioned between the Cooper hatch and the Countryman in the brand’s lineup and be offered exclusively with an electric powertrain. It will be unveiled on April 24 before it goes on sale in markets around the world in 2025.

From a visual standpoint, the production version of the Aceman is anticipated to closely resemble the Concept Aceman showcased approximately 18 months ago. Notably, the angular headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights are expected to be carried over from the concept. Renderings by Kolesa depict the Aceman without a traditional grille, instead featuring a painted area resembling a grille. However, unlike the illuminated grille seen in the concept, this area will not be lit up in the production model.

Elsewhere, these renderings showcase the crossover model with squared wheel arches much like the concept and also has black cladding running along the doors. Spin around to the rear and the characteristic Mini taillights immediately catch the eye as does the black bumper and the spoiler stretching out from the roof.

We don’t yet know how the interior of the Aceman will look like, but it should have quite a lot in common with other existing Mini models.

Technical specifications about the car won’t be known until it is revealed. However, we believe it will most likely share its powertrain with the latest Mini Electric which sees an 181 hp motor paired with a 40 kWh battery pack in entry-level guise. Mini may also decide to sell the Aceman with 215 hp and a 54 kWh battery for a bit of extra performance and improved range.
