Dozens of customers were left without power as powerful thunderstorms crossed the Hudson Valley this weekend.
In Hartsdale, a tree to come crashing down onto Secor Road, blocking one lane of traffic. The tree has since been removed.
A tree and some power lines also came down during the storm at the corner of Eastway and Northway.
"Unbelievable, I've lived here since 1976, and I've never seen a storm line this. It's been coming down in buckets and buckets. There was hail, never seen hail in the summer time. Northway was like a river," says Howard Weinstein, of Hartsdale
One a neighbor says he's never seen anything like it. "When I was outside and I heard the lightning strike, I never seen lightning that bright before and that loud, so it definitely scared me," says Brad Diamond, of Hartsdale.
According to Con Edison, at the height of yesterday's storm nearly 200 homes in Westchester lost power. The power has since been restored to most of the homes.
