HOUSTON – As Tropical Storm Laura moves toward the Gulf Coast, some officials are issuing evacuation orders.

Here’s a list of the evacuation orders in place right now:

City of Baytown -- Voluntary evacuation recommended for ZIP codes 77520 and 77523. More information can be found here.

Brazoria County -- Voluntary evacuation order for low-lying coastal communities that are outside of the protection levee.

Chambers County -- Mandatory evacuation order for residents who live in low-lying and flood-prone areas. People who live in trailers or manufactured homes are required to move to a safer location. The county is offering a limited number of charter busses to assist residents in evacuation. The busses will depart from Anahuac High School and Winnie-Stowell Park early Wednesday morning.

City of Dickinson -- Voluntary evacuation order for low-lying areas, including ZIP code 77539.

Galveston County -- Mandatory evacuation order for residents of Bolivar Peninsula, including unincorporated areas of Port Bolivar, Crystal Beach, High Island and Gilchrist. This order, which takes effect immediately. The judge also issued a voluntary evacuation order for the Bayshore areas of unincorporated Galveston County, which includes San Leon and Baycliff. He also issued a voluntary evacuation order for the Freddiesville area along Highway 6.

City of Galveston -- Mandatory evacuation effective Tuesday. All residents should secure loose items on their property and leave the island. City services will be suspended as of noon Tuesday. Sanitation will complete its route Tuesday morning before suspending services. All city facilities and buildings will be closed at noon Tuesday. Residents signed up for the STEAR program can board buses at 48th and Broadway at the Island Community Center and should arrive at the location as soon as possible. STEAR program residents can call 409-765-3710. CORRECTION: An earlier statement from city officials said that residents were required to leave the island by noon Tuesday. They issued a correction later, saying that is not the case.

Harris County -- Voluntary evacuation order in effect for zones A and B, which includes places along Galveston Bay such as Friendswood, Webster, Seabrook, La Porte, Morgans Point, Nassau Bay, Clear Lake, El Lago, Taylor Lake Village and Shoreacres. Houston - Voluntary Evacuations have been issued for residents in Houston Zip Codes 77059, 77062, and 77058 North. Houstonians in the voluntary evacuation area can call 3-1-1 for shelter information. Anyone outside of the zone should begin preparing to shelter in place.

Jefferson County -- Mandatory evacuation order that takes effect at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Read the order here. Evacuation buses are available at several sites in Beaumont. You can see the full list of bus locations here.

Kemah -- The city of Kemah is under a mandatory evacuation, according to Galveston County Judge Mark Henry.

City of La Porte -- La Porte is under a voluntary evacuation. Residents should strongly consider evacuating by early in the day Wednesday.

City of Lake Jackson -- Voluntary evacuation order for low-lying areas outside the hurricane levee. This does not include Lake Jackson.

League City -- Voluntary Evacuation Order Issued for League City residents in low lying areas including those along Clear Lake, Clear Creek & Dickinson Bayou, along with residents with medical needs and who use devices that require electricity, are strongly encouraged to consider evacuating.

City of Nassau Bay -- Mayor Mark Denman has issued a voluntary evacuation recommendation for Nassau Bay’s most vulnerable residents including the disabled and those with medical needs.

Orange County -- Orange County and city officials are calling for a mandatory evacuation for all of Orange County at 6 am, Tuesday. Citizens who cannot evacuate themselves can find transportation resources at either of the two embarkation sites in the county. Evacuees can arrive at location at 9 am, Tuesday. The two locations are Lamar State College Orange, 410 Front Street and Vidor Elementary, 400 Old Hwy 90 E.

City of Port Arthur -- Jeff Lindner, a meteorologist at Harris County Flood Control District, confirmed to KPRC 2 that the City of Port Arthur will be ordering a mandatory evacuation effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

City of Seabrook -- Mayor Thom Kolupski issued a voluntary evacuation for residents and businesses in low-lying areas in Seabrook, specifically lower Todville from Red Bluff south to SH 146 and Baywood Drive. These portions of Seabrook are most prone to storm surge and flooding, officials wrote. “Due to the potential for storm-surge, the City of Seabrook has determined it is in the best interest of the residents in these areas to make preparations to leave,” officials wrote.

Texas A&M University -- University officials announced that it was issuing mandatory evacuation orders for all students on the Texas A&M University at Galveston campus effective Tuesday.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice --The Texas Department of Criminal Justice announced Monday that it is evacuating three secure facilities and a portion of a fourth facility, along with three residential facilities in the Beaumont and Jasper areas. The Beaumont Residential Reentry Center, two Transitional Treatment Centers, the Gist State Jail, LeBlanc Unit, and portions of the Stiles Unit in Beaumont, and the Goodman Unit in Jasper began evacuations Monday morning. The moves will affect approximately 3,400 offenders and 200 clients assigned to these facilities and is expected to be completed later Monday.
