The million-dollar question is what schools will look like this fall. The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees pushed the school start date to Sept. 8, and that’s one of the few hard details we know.
District officials will assess the coronavirus situation closer to the start date and determine whether to offer in-person instruction or begin online only.
In July, the district released a playbook outlining its in-person re-entry plan. The video depicts elementary-aged students arriving at school, receiving temperature checks and maintaining social distancing in hallways. It also shows students wearing masks and face shields, among other precautions.
More pictures showing how the district plans to welcome students this fall are available on Flickr.
