Josh Langford isn’t going out like this. Perhaps, neither is Michigan State - The Athletic

For those who watched what occurred at Breslin Center on Tuesday night, there should be a certain poetic symmetry in Joshua Langford being the old man who doesn’t look ready to go away.

Let’s recall the inconvenient truth the Michigan State fifth-year senior faced in the fall. On one hand, he didn’t have to return to East Lansing. He could’ve moved on, embarked on the world. The options weren’t great, but there were options. He could’ve put college basketball behind him. This guy had given Michigan State everything he had, including his body. He could’ve walked away.

On the other hand, Langford had to weigh a gamble on the unknown. After missing nearly two years of playing time with foot injuries, he was only just getting back to playing five-on-five when October arrived. In truth, leaving Michigan State would mean leaving the program’s top-notch facilities and medical personnel.
