A fan in attendance at Thursday afternoon's game between the White Sox and A's in Oakland did, at least, and it came in handy when a foul ball off the bat of Josh Harrison made it all the way to his section in the second deck.
Though he missed the initial barehanded grab, he still made the catch -- with said fanny pack.
The debate over whether the accessory is truly back in style may be ongoing, but as far as its usefulness is concerned -- at least in this setting -- it appears settled.
