Here Are All The Free Games Coming To PlayStation Plus In November 2021 - Forbes

adanyabegini.blogspot.com

Sony revealed the free PlayStation Plus games for November today, one day after the announcement was supposed to arrive. I suspect it was pushed back due to the State Of Play livestream, but I’m not certain about that.

Either way, we now know what the November lineup consists of and the leaks were right, though two games were left out of yesterday’s leak.

This is probably the best month for PS Plus subscribers in a very long time, if only because there are six total games being given away this month instead of just three. The caveat is that three of the six games are virtual reality titles for the PSVR, which leaves out a significant chunk of PS Plus subscribers.

Still, not a bad month by any means. Let’s take a look at what we’ll be able to download next week when these go live.

Knockout City (PS5 / PS4)

This is basically a high-tech, futuristic PvP dodgeball game. Players toss balls at one another to win, and can even roll themselves up into a ball and let a teammate throw you. It’s pretty fun, though I haven’t played a ton.

First Class Trouble (PS5 / PS4)

This is sort of Among Us-like but with a more realistic art-style and presentation. Six players play online together on a spaceship. Four of them are “Residents” trying to stop a nefarious AI. The other two are Personoids who try to sabotage their efforts. Teamwork is essential but you don’t know who to trust.

Kingdoms Of Amalur Re-Reckoning (PS4)

The original Kingdoms Of Amalur came out back around the same time as Skyrim but never attained that game’s popularity or critical praise. It was part of a larger project from former baseball player Curt Schilling and had some top talent on board, including comic book artist and toymaker, Todd McFarlane and Forgotten Realms fantasy author R.A. Salvatore (who I interviewed back in the day).

The game was decent if a little repetitive but was entirely overshadowed by the huge controversy that developer 38 Studios was embroiled in, which brought to a screeching halt plans for an MMO and other franchise spinoffs.

The “Re-Reckoning” version is a remaster from THQ Nordic, the game publisher equivalent of the Island Of Lost Toys. I definitely recommend taking it for a spin. It’s not perfect but it’s not bad, either.

The Persistence (PSVR)

I hadn’t heard of this game until today but it sounds pretty cool. Here’s the official description:

“Caught in the inexorable pull of a black hole, and with the crew mutated into horrific and murderous aberrations, it’s down to you, a clone of security officer Zimri Eder, to save the ship and make the jump back to Earth.

“A brutal VR sci-fi-stealth, horror, roguelike featuring dozens of upgradable gear and weapons that may just be enough to keep you alive long enough to survive The Persistence.”

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)

Not only one of the best Walking Dead games, but also one of my all-time favorite virtual reality games, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is a must-play for anyone interested in VR. Great graphics and a compelling story with some of the best VR combat out there all conspire to immerse you in the zombie apocalypse in ways that few other games have achieved. A real gem for PSVR / PS Plus subscribers.

Until You Fall (PSVR)

A virtual reality sword-fighting game. A “hack-and-slash roguelite” that requires you to get some physical exercise while you play. This sounds like something my 11-year-old would really love—and that would be fun for me to watch other people play. Nothing quite like watching people in VR headsets flail around for some cheap entertainment. I haven’t played this one but it looks cool!

October’s free games are available to download until Monday, November 1st. Check out the lineup here.

The non-VR November titles will be available until Monday, December 6th. All three PSVR games will be available until Monday January 3rd, so you have some time.

What do you think of this lineup? I know it’s not perfect and heavily weighted toward PSVR owners, but it’s got two PS5 titles and all the games are at least decent. Let me know on Twitter or Facebook.
