Buick is going all-in on stylish electric vehicles and this rendering imagines what a futuristic coupe-crossover from the car manufacturer could have looked like if given the green light for production.
General Motors Design posted this image on Instagram. It was created by designer Geoff Richmond in 2018 and while it hasn’t spawned a production variant, it does share some similarities with recent Buick concepts, namely the Electra Concept from 2020 and the new Electra-X unveiled for the Chinese market.
Adorned in a shade of blue, the coupe-crossover has a sleek hourglass shape and is a two-door. While only pictured from the side, we can see that the front end sports a pair of LED headlights and a relatively short front overhang.

The curvature of the hood is also quite striking and seamlessly flows into the wraparound windshield that looks like the ones used in Koenigseggs. Richmond obviously wanted to give the coupe-crossover’s cabin a very light and airy feeling and has therefore equipped it with an oval-shaped panoramic glass roof.
Other highlights of the vehicle’s design include the large silver and black wheels and the high tailgate. We can also see a boomerang-shaped LED taillight and a pronounced diffuser.
While this exact vehicle hasn’t hit the production line, Buick is readying a number of striking new cars for different markets. For example, the recently-unveiled Buick Wildcat EV concept previews the future design direction of the brand while the Electra-X Concept offers Chinese customers a look at what a future crossover from Buick could look like.
