David: 'I've been wanting to do something like this for a while now' - ESPNcricinfo

Tim David has played only 16 games for Mumbai Indians, but he has already shown glimpses of the power-hitting ability that had made Kieron Pollard one of the stalwarts of the IPL. In the 1000th game of the IPL on Sunday, David went 6, 6, 6 off the first three balls of the last over as Mumbai became the first team in the league's history to chase down a 200-plus total at the Wankhede Stadium. With Pollard now taking up a new role as Mumbai's batting coach, can David fill the void left by him as the team's finisher?
"Look, it's big shoes to fill," Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai captain, said at the post-match presentation. "Obviously, Polly has done it for so many years and we have won so many championships with his performances. Tim obviously has got a lot of ability, as you saw today. He has got so much power and at the back end, it helps. When you have that kind of power, the bowler is always thinking, so that's good to have."

When David walked out to bat, at the fall of Suryakumar Yadav's wicket, Mumbai needed 61 off 26 balls. David alone smashed 45 off 14 balls, including five sixes, to finish the chase with six wickets and three balls to spare. It was Mumbai's fourth victory in eight games this season.

"Yeah, we needed a result," David said. "So, it's an amazing feeling, the crowd was going crazy for us. So, when we get up and flying at the Wankhede, there's no better feeling.

"We've probably not played our best game for the last couple of matches. To see how the boys went about it, it's awesome for us and to see how excited the boys are, it feels really good."

Whenever Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Jason Holder missed their lengths at the death, David put them away. He was particularly severe on Holder, taking him for 25 off six balls. After the match, David said that the plan was to go after every bowler.

"Everyone had to be targeted," he said. "But it was good batting conditions today. So, tough job for the bowlers there, but personally I've been wanting to do something like this for a while now and been hungry to get a result for the team. So, it feels great.

"It was a little bit sweaty, so I was kind of getting out of the crease and trying to close the angle down [against Holder] and just react to wherever the ball is bowled. At that point, it just had to be good shots and try and hit the middle of the bat."

'I've never been betrayed like this before' - entrepreneur claims Justin Williams's CRIT race series was his plan - CyclingWeekly

When Rameez Tase received a press release announcing the creation of a new race series, the Circuit Racing International Tour (CRIT), launched by pro cyclist Justin Williams and Wasserman Ventures, on April 26th, his jaw dropped.

He claims the CRIT Racing League had been his idea and even had it legally incorporated before pitching it to Wasserman for potential investment.

He and his partners sat in dozens of meetings with Wasserman employees, created financial and business models, and even raised capital for the Crit Racing League.

Cycling Weekly has seen emails between Wasserman and the Crit Racing League founders confirming those meetings, legal incorporation documents, and the financial model Crit Racing League founder presented to Wasserman.

But then, in February 2023, all communication ceased until Tase, like the rest of the cycling world, learned about the CRIT series launch via a press release.

"As a founder, it's been the most frustrating and sad day of my career. I understand that, in the early days, it's just an idea — but the thought that it would be completely co-opted without even a heads up makes me sick to my stomach," Tase tells Cycling Weekly.

Cycling Weekly contacted Wasserman's Travis Clarke via email and phone and also emailed Justin William's PR contact. While Williams didn't respond, Clarke sent us the following statement:

“After the success of Into the Lion’s Den [race] in 2021, we were approached by a number of parties to consider media distribution opportunities. Though we were happy to collaborate, we ultimately went in a different direction. Moving forward, we couldn’t be more excited to elevate Justin’s dream and scale our Into the Lion’s Den format for race fans across the country."

"The World's Next Major Sport"

Tase is an amateur bike racer, entrepreneur and president of the market data platform Antenna.

The idea of a new, modern bike racing series was born from Tase's desire to merge his world as a media and data person with his passion as a cyclist.

He also saw a data-backed potential for a sporting league that delivers shorter and action-packed content via modern streaming services in which its athletes are creators and storytellers. He called it "The World's Next Major Sport."

Of course, he's certainly not alone in having spotted this potential. This spring saw the launch of an all-new American Criterium Cup as well as the National Racing League. The latter offers a similar entertainment-focused approach to bike racing, caters to the same audience, and even shares a similar goal of revamping the popularity of American bike racing. Tase did not know about the NCL's workings at the time, however, and rounded up a media-focused team to help him launch his vision.

Tase founded the Crit Racing League, Inc together with business partners Whit Harwood, formerly of Buzzer; Austin Rief of the Morning Brew; and Eric Harris, formerly of Buzzfeed and, now, the incoming COO of Cycling Weekly’s publisher Future Media. Cycling Weekly has had no contact with Harris with regards to this story.

The business was officially incorporated by the State of Delaware in July 2022.

Tase and Harwood pitched their idea to Wasserman Ventures, a venture capital offshoot of the powerhouse talent agency Wasserman, in August 2022. Meetings between Crit Racing League and Darren Ross and Travis Clarke of Wasserman followed.

"[Harwood] has spoken with Darren and Travis probably 30, 50 times. We actually were introduced to Justin [Williams] through them as well. And around December 2022, we thought we were working towards a deal," Tase says.

"I've raised 15 million of capital, and my co-founders have raised capital, too. All signs pointed towards, okay, this is happening. We actually talked about drafting a press release. And then it all sort of went radio silent."

Tase and his partners assumed Wasserman had passed on the opportunity.

"We sort of went pencils down, and my co-founder went ahead and took a new full-time job," Tase says.

'A victim in a bunch of people fighting for what they have'

And then the news broke that Justin Williams, pro cyclist and founder of the L39ion of Los Angeles, Miami Blazers, and Austin Aviators teams and The Lion's Den race, was starting his own race series with the support of Wasserman Ventures. What is the series' name? Circuit Racing International Tour (CRIT).

"I'm not claiming I'm the only one with the idea. Like, the NCL exists. But the name, the idea, the financial and business model, the investment group —it's a little bit more than you know, 'Hey, they took my name,'" says Tase. "I've never been betrayed like this before."

Tase says he contacted his connections at Wasserman as well as Williams but received no response.

"I think there's a legal foot to stand on because we have incorporation documents for Crit Racing League, Inc. We also have the email invites, the pitches, and the financial models — there's obviously a trail to Wasserman," Tase says.

Still, Tase says he's unlikely to take legal action at this time.

"I'm not planning on spending $10,000 of my own money suing people for an asset that's currently worth $0," Tase says.

"I guess I'm the latest victim in a bunch of people fighting for what they have versus collaborating on what they can have or could have in the future."

"Did not expect her to sound like this": Brittney Griner voice takes internet by storm as press conference video goes viral - Sportskeeda

Brittney Griner has gone through a lot in the past few months. She was detained on drug charges in Russia and was finally released in late 2022. The WNBA superstar is now back and preparing for another season.

Griner recently held a press conference for the Pheonix Mercury, answering various questions. However, a lot of basketball fans were surprised by her voice and some of them even claimed that she was a man, which was very unusual.

This is nothing new for the Mercury center, who's dealt with a lot of criticism and hate her entire life, but some social media users may have taken it too far.

Brittney Griner's voice was deep, which is why many social users criticized her

Growing up, Brittney Griner has never been like other kids. She was much taller and looked different from other girls, which is why she wasn't accepted as the others. Unfortunately, things haven't changed since she's become a WNBA superstar.

During her press conference on Thursday, Griner answered many questions, including a question regarding trans athletes in sports. Videos of her press conference have gone viral and have received many comments. However, most of the comments were about her voice.

Never knew Brittney Griner voice was that deep 😕

Griner's voice certainly sounds deep, but this has always been the case.

However, the WNBA superstar has received a lot more popularity since returning to the United States, which is why some basketball fans recently heard her talk for the first time.

The 32-year-old star has been criticized many times and was even called a boy in school. Due to this, some comments are not new to her.

Sorry but Brittney Griner is not a woman. My god that voice is a mans voice.

The Mercury star has always been the same. However, some people claim that she's changed and that her voice wasn't that deep before, while others point out the obvious.

Brittney Griner home and y’all are being transphobic to a black cis woman, like some things really never change. And I don’t understand because y’all knew she was gay when y’all was fighting for her to come home, now y’all are surprised a 6’+ stud bball player has a deep voice🧐

Some users looked at the more positive side of Griner's press conference. Instead of focusing on what her voice sounded like, they were just happy to hear the WNBA superstar.

Fortunately, some of Griner's fans defended her and did not like the fact that she's received so much criticism.

Making fun of Brittney Griner & calling her a man is corny. She’s a beautiful woman who happens to have a deep voice. I’m 100% noticeably a woman and have a bit of a deeper voice. Leave her alone!

Back in February, the 8-time WNBA All-Star resigned with the Phoenix Mercury, securing a contract for next season. She's been working on returning to basketball and we expect to see her play in a few weeks.

Missouri's Cam Chick makes unreal diving catch - MLB.com

You never know what you’re going to see on the baseball diamond on any given day. This time, we present to you a catch unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

The setting: It’s a Southeastern Conference battle between visiting Missouri and host Florida. Righty Chandler Murphy is on the mound for Mizzou in the bottom of the third, battling against Colby Halter. The Gators lefty pokes a pitch to shallow left field, and Cam Chick has to come sprinting in to have any hope of making the grab.

Well, Chick did … then he didn’t … and then he did.

In an almost comical sequence of events, Chick goes airborne, reaches out and secures the ball, only for it to pop out when his glove hits the grass. The outfielder thinks he’s made the catch, but he quickly adjusts when he realizes his glove is empty.

The ball goes straight into the air, softly bonks off the top of his head, rolls off his shoulders as he’s sliding forward and falls neatly into his glove once again. A catch once made, then lost, then made again.

It’ll go into the scorecard as a lineout to left, but in reality, it was anything but routine. Way to stick with it, kid!

‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 Reveals Aidan’s Return in First Trailer - Hollywood Reporter

And Just Like That … what’s old is new again.

The second season of the Sex and the City sequel series returns in June on Max, and the premiere announcement came with a revealing first-look trailer at what’s in store when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) return.

In the footage below, Carrie reveals she’s been having “exit out of grief” sex and says life is too short not to try something new. That’s when Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) appears on her doorstep.

Related Stories

And just like that, I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe not everything,” Carrie teases in voiceover as her former flame makes his anticipated return to the franchise.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Miranda’s romance with Sara Ramírez’s Che continues, and the trio is seen expanding their brunch reservation as Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman return as series regulars alongside Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang and Alexa Swinton.

Michael Patrick King returns as executive producer, with Parker, Nixon and Davis also executive producing.

Corbett’s return had been expected ever since paparazzi photos from set popped up online. Playing on the spoiler, Parker fanned the flame by sharing some of the photos to her Instagram. Time will tell what capacity Aidan plays in Carrie’s season two life, however, as the series is known for filming misdirect scenes to keep plot points a surprise. Corbett last appeared in the big-screen sequel, Sex and the City 2.

The first season of the sequel series pushed the story into new territory, as original star Kim Cattrall passed on returning as fan favorite Samantha Jones. Carrie early on in the season dealt with the shocking death of Chris Noth’s Big to set the tone of the nine-episode series, as Noth was accused of sexual harassment and assault offscreen. And beloved star Willie Garson died early on in filming from cancer, while his character, Stanford Blatch, remains alive in the show’s world after moving to Tokyo.

And Just Like That showrunner King explained the finale choices while awaiting the season two renewal, telling The Hollywood Reporter at the time, “I want to know more about all the new characters. I want lots more. We have no answers, but we have a lot of questions.”

The iconic HBO series Sex and the City was created by Darren Star and based on the book by Candace Bushnell. And Just Like That is also executive produced by John Melfi, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky. Writers included King, Samantha Irby, Susan Fales-Hill, Lucas Froehlich, Rachel Palmer, Rottenberg and Zuritsky. And directors this season include King, Nixon, Ry Russo-Young and Rottenberg.

'And Just Like That' Season 2 trailer heralds Aidan's return - CNN

CNN  —

After the first season of HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” sequel series “And Just Like That” left a “Big” void, Season 2 is looking to fill it with none other than Carrie’s other lost love.

The official teaser for the season, which dropped on Wednesday, sees Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her best friends Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) continuing to navigate their well-heeled lives in New York City, as curveballs are thrown and suitors keep calling.

One of those suitors is Che (Sarah Ramirez), who Miranda says is taking “a big step up” in terms of their relationship, while the pair are seen kissing passionately in a doorway.

John Corbett as Aidan in 'And Just Like That...' Season 2.

Charlotte and Harry’s (Evan Handler) teenage daughter Lily, meanwhile, informs her parents that she’s “ready to lose (her) virginity” (hello curveball), which of course means you could hear a pin drop in the York-Goldenblatt household.

As for Carrie, the trailer reveals a bit more about her surprise Season 1 finale makeout session in the elevator with a staffer from her podcast studio — here, she says she’s “been having exit-out-of-grief sex,” in a nod to her husband’s (Chris Noth) now-famous demise in the series pilot.

(From left) Cynthia Nixon and Sara Ramírez in 'And Just Like That...' Season 2.

But the new affair won’t last long, as the trailer reveals the grand return of Aidan Shaw at the very end, Carrie’s one that got away (or rather, the one she broke up with twice over the course of the run of the original “Sex and the City”).

As far as Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is concerned, there were no noticable winks, hints or nods toward any kind of return for the sassy, sex-positive character. Despite Season 1 seeing Carrie and Samantha connect on occasion via text, only time will tell if Cattrall will ever be ready to step back into Samantha’s shoes after the “How I Met Your Father” actor said in 2021 that she’s officially “moved on” from the franchise.

“And Just Like That” returns to HBO Max in June. (HBO Max, like CNN, is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.)

And Just Like That... Season 2 Teaser Trailer Is 'Full of Surprises' - PEOPLE

And just like that, season two of the Sex and the City spin-off has a premiere date — and a brand new teaser trailer!

Max announced on Wednesday that the upcoming second season of And Just Like That... will return this June. The series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, Evan Handler, David Eigenberg, Nicole Ari Parker, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang and Alexa Swinton.

Alongside that news, the streamer unveiled an exciting new teaser trailer that is "full of surprises," including plenty of sex and a fan-favorite character's big return.

"If you're lucky, you can always count on your closest friends to be there," says Parker's Carrie Bradshaw. "We are all blissfully unaware when our lives are about to change."

Among those big changes involves Charlotte (Davis) and Harry's (Handler) daughter Lily saying: "I'm ready to lose my virginity."

Miranda (Nixon) also teases "a big step up" for her blooming relationship with Che (Ramírez) following her separation from her longtime husband, Steve (Eigenberg).

As for Carrie, she's been having a lot of "exit out of grief sex" following the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). "It's just sex," she says, also noting that "life's too short not to try something new."

HBO Max

But the biggest surprise coming her way is connected to her past. Her on-again, off-again boyfriend Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) re-enters the picture, which fans get a brief glimpse of at the trailer's end.

In September, both Parker, 57, and Ramírez, 47, teased the upcoming sophomore season with social media posts revealing that work had begun.

Parker shared a zoomed-in photo of the script with just the title of the show and "Episode 201" written on it. Under the episode number, she scribbled out the third line with purple ink.

"Just this much. For now," the Hocus Pocus star wrote in her Instagram caption before signing off "X, SJ."

Ramírez also kept things mysterious, quietly dropping a photo of the scripts for episodes 201 and 202.

"🤫shhhhh….." they wrote in a caption on Instagram.

Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max

The Grey's Anatomy alum appeared to have taken the snap at a cast table read, indicated by Ramírez's name being written over the name of their character Che.

Season 1 of And Just Like That… was released on HBO Max more than 23 years after Sex and the City first premiered on HBO. The original show broke ground when it premiered in 1998, not just for its frank discussion of sex and love but also for its endearing portrait of female friendship and loyalty between career-minded women.

Created by Darren Star and based on the book of the same name by Candace Bushnell, Sex and the City ran for six seasons. It earned seven Primetime Emmys and spawned two major feature films.

Kim Cattrall starred alongside Parker, Nixon and Davis in the original series. But she did not return for the reboot.

We've Never Seen Kamala Harris in Sleeves Like This Before - Yahoo

Petition to have more statement sleeves on Capitol Hill.

Getty Images

Yes, that was Angelina Jolie at the White House's state dinner with South Korean President Yoon, but Jolie wasn't the only person having a major fashion moment at the event. Vice President Kamala Harris wore a statement-sleeved blouse from South Korean designer Miss Sohee to the event, offering up a silhouette that we've never, ever seen from a vice president before. She finished the look with Nikos Koulis jewelry and a Tyler Ellis clutch, but the spotlight was squarely on the bold blue blouse, which had huge balloon sleeves, a portrait collar, and cinched, embellished waistline.

Harris let the blouse shine, understandably, by pairing it with sleek black trousers and pointy-toed pumps. She shared the look on the official vice presidential Instagram account, which also had a cameo from President Joe Biden in the image of her welcoming President Yoon.

"Doug and I were thrilled to celebrate President Yoon's historic State Visit to the United States and to commemorate our longstanding Alliance with South Korea," the vice president captioned the images.

Wearing a designer with special meaning is something that Harris (and other women in the White House) have done to champion labels at specific times. Memorably, former first lady Michelle Obama wore French designers during state dinners with visiting dignitaries from that country, the current first lady Jill Biden has continued the tradition, and it seems Harris is lending her support to the cause, as well.

Though she's more often seen in a power suit (which can also come with statement sleeves), Harris's formal wear picks have offered her the opportunity to loosen up and look great while doing it.

Micah Parsons on Darnell Wright: 'You want a guy like this' - NBC Sports

During the first round of the NFL draft, the Bears notched their starting right tackle with Darnell Wright. And the consensus is positive around the pick.

Immediately, ESPN analyst Louis Riddick raved about Wright, saying "(He) has the ability to be the best player in this draft."

MORE: ESPN analyst: Darnell Wright could be 'best player in the draft'

Micah Parsons, the All-Pro Dallas Cowboys linebacker, was complimentary of the pick, too.

"Great pick. Chicago was on a mission. You did exactly what you had to do," Parsons said on Bleacher Report's live reaction to the draft. "You want a guy like this. Justin Fields isn't just a passer, he's a runner too. And Chicago likes to run the ball. I'm not mad at this pick. He's a great run blocker. He's a great pass-blocker."

As Parsons alluded to, the Bears are a team reliant on an offensive line. They were the most prolific rushing offense last season, running for over 3,000 yards as a team. They led the NFL in rushing yards and broke their franchise record for rushing yards in a season.

They likely won't run the ball as much next season, seeing as they bolstered their wide receiver core with DJ Moore and added Wright on the edge of the line to help pass protect for Fields.

Hence, the need for a bonafide offensive tackle was imminent for the Bears entering the draft.

RELATED: Why Bears chose Wright to protect Fields with No. 10 pick

Wright played three seasons at Tennessee, playing in 15 total games. He didn't come on until his junior season when he played 13 games at right tackle.

He's a behemoth at 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds. In 892 snaps at right tackle, he allowed zero sacks and eight pressures against the likes of the SEC, including No. 3 overall pick Will Anderson.

"If you're able to shut down a guy like Will Anderson, you're okay," Parsons said.

Some believe the Bears may have jumped the gun on Wright, taking him into the top 10. But the Bears got their guy and he'll slide in immediately at the starting right tackle spot.

"You can say it was early but he's a first-round talent," Parsons said. "No doubt about it. They got their guy so that's all that matters."

Deion Sanders’ tough math: ‘We haven’t seen anything quite like this’ - The Athletic

Good morning! Don’t let anyone hit a logo 3 on you today.

While You Were Sleeping

Two closers, one choker

Congratulations are in order for the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets, who each avoided the 3-1 hex and closed out their respective opening-round series last night. Nikola Jokic had a triple-double, and Devin Booker outscored the Clippers by himself in a quarter.

The Celtics, however, earned today’s jeers. Boston could not close out the pesky Hawks at home in Game 5, instead allowing “Ice Trae” Young to regain his road playoff superpowers. With Atlanta’s season on the line, he pulled this off:

Filthy. The win gives the Hawks life, suddenly down just 3-2 with Game 6 in Atlanta, and also benefits the Sixers, who will get another week of rest as they wait for this series to play out. For a wobbly Joel Embiid, that’s clutch.

We have a busy schedule tonight. Three teams — Knicks, Lakers and Heat — have closeout opportunities before a tantalizing Game 5 between the Warriors and Kings serves as a nightcap. It will be fascinating to see how an injured De’Aaron Fox plays.

  • Meanwhile: Three NHL teams (Islanders, Stars and Oilers) all registered massive wins last night. Each series sits at 3-2, too. Edmonton finally looked like the contender everyone saw coming into the postseason.

Epic Turnover

Prime numbers?

Ignore the name, the custom “Prime” swag and all those hype videos. From a pure roster math standpoint — as we lightly touched on yesterday — what Deion Sanders is undertaking at Colorado is shocking and unprecedented.

Forty-plus players have transferred from Colorado since Sanders arrived. More are probably on the way out with just five months before the season kicks off. Many of them were shown the door, too, according to this story from David Ubben. I’m not a math whiz, but fielding a full roster in this state is daunting, even considering how many transfers the Buffs have imported.

To get a better perspective on the task ahead, I caught up with The Athletic’s college football writer/transfer portal savant Max Olson:

Deion predicted this exodus, and it still feels monumental. Has this scale of a roster turnover been done before at the Power 5 level?
Max: We haven’t seen anything quite like this since the transfer portal debuted in 2018. Last year, not one Power 5 program lost 30 scholarship players to the portal. USC and TCU did pull off fast flips, but their transfer attrition (21 for USC, 16 for TCU) was nowhere close to what Colorado is experiencing. New coaching staffs dealing with departures before or after Year 1 is becoming increasingly common. But losing this many players in the first six months is unprecedented.

Am I right in calculating he needs to replace 60 players (transfers + graduates) by the time the season kicks off?
Max: The number might end up being closer to 70 than 60 at this point. Sanders and his staff have already landed 28 transfers, including 20 who enrolled in time for spring practice. They have 19 high school or junior college signees, many of whom likely play right away. So that’s close to 50 newcomers already.

This week’s exodus means this staff could conceivably go out and add around 20 more newcomers. There are a few positions — defensive line and wide receiver stand out — where these coaches need to find several more players in order to have adequate depth.

What do you think is a reasonable win expectation for Deion to consider this year successful and continue recruiting momentum?
Max: Winning five games in Year 1 would be seriously impressive. Sanders has put together an experienced staff, already has a talented QB and has landed exciting playmakers and veteran starters on both sides of the ball. Blue-chip recruits want to play for Deion. Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Cormani McClain shining right away will help Colorado land more big names. That star power is critical for an almost entirely rebuilt team facing a tough schedule.

To Max’s point, it’s really hard to find five wins on this schedule. I’ll take the under — for now.

Briefs

OMG, IMG
Prestigious athletics-focused boarding school IMG Academy sold for $1.25 billion — with a B — yesterday, its former parent company announced, a staggering figure for one of the country’s most prolific athlete-producing schools. IMG will join a global network of boarding schools as part of the deal, giving the school access to athletes from across the world. The school’s previous owner, Endeavor, just bought WWE, and $1.25 billion probably helps pay some bills.

Speaking of money
Nashville is expected to approve a public contribution to a new stadium for the Titans, which would bring the taxpayer total to an astounding $1.26 billion for the new digs. It will be the biggest sports subsidy in U.S. history, as Daniel Kaplan writes. It’s part of a trend that’s seen American pro teams ask for more and more public funds to help with stadium costs.

Next Mahomes?
We’re suffering through the silliest week of NFL chatter right now, with a Reddit post taking the news cycle by storm yesterday. Some of us are already looking to next year, though, as USC’s Caleb Williams will enter the season as the likeliest No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. According to a QB coach who spoke to Bruce Feldman, the Heisman winner is “like a refined Mahomes” with a slightly weaker arm but all the traits of a superstar nonetheless. One coach even said Williams would’ve gone No. 1 this year if eligible. Should a team skip this year’s QBs and wait for Williams? Seems unwise, but then again, a Redditor is out here making Will Levis the No. 1 pick, so anything goes.

Pulse Picks

Who are the top 100 players in NFL history? The Athletic’s NFL staff wrote a whole book on it, set for publication in October. Preorders are live here.

Cale Makar’s suspension comes at a horrible time. Peter Baugh wonders what it means for the defending champs’ chances against the Kraken.

Have you seen Jarred Kelenic this year? The former top prospect is raking, and Ken Rosenthal has the full story on a wild offseason for the 23-year-old.

Houston running back Alton McCaskill, a former star freshman, is in the transfer portal. You probably have a good guess on one of his leading candidates.

Everyone in the NHL hates officiating. Here’s why it is the way it is.

Tottenham players are issuing refunds for any Spurs fan who traveled to see the Newcastle meltdown. Seriously.

Jason Jones has a nice feature on Isaiah Land, the top HBCU prospect in this week’s NFL Draft.

The 2023 Bowman set comes out today. We had two writers in the Topps Spot house recently, chatting with the young prospects who were signing cards that could be worth $1 million soon.

New Delhi:

Sobhita Dhulipala is super busy with the promotion campaign of her upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan 2. But did you know the actress was “super unwell” during an event in Hyderabad? The actress has announced it on Instagram with a set of stunning pictures of herself. Sobhita is looking beautiful in a white saree. The actress said that after the event she “literally rolled on the grass like a sleepy puppy”. Sharing the pictures, Sobhita wrote, “Literally rolled on the grass like a sleepy puppy after we came back from the PS2 launch event. I was super unwell but man.. the energy of Hyderabad's audiences is something else! Set my spirits soaring and how.” Replying to the post, actress Janhvi Kapoor dropped red heart eye emojis.

Before this, Sobhita Dhulipala shared a  video from the Delhi schedule of the promotion campaign. Along with the clip, she wrote, “Delhi done right! Thank you for the love and thank you for the energy SRCC!”

Apart from Sobhita Dhulipala, Ponniyin Selvan 2 also stars Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi among others.  The film directed by Mani Ratnam will hit the theatres on April 28. The first part, Ponniyin Selvan 1, was released in September 2022. The plot highlighted the early life of Chola prince Arunmozhi Varman. The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel of the same name.

Trisha has also shared a picture of herself with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from one of their promotional events. In the pic, the two look stunning as they pose for the camera. Trisha didn't think much about the caption and simply wrote, “Nan and Kun." In the film,  Aishwarya portrays the role of  Nandini, Queen of Pazhuvoor. Trisha is seen as Chola Princess Kundavai.

Speaking with NDTV about the film, Trisha said, “PS 2 is going to have a lot more romance and action to begin with. It is going to be so fast pace." She added, "For me, PS 1 was still an introduction of every character and just putting them all together. PS 2 is when the story really begins.”
