Sarah Jessica Parker Dropped Major News About Aidan in Season 3 of 'And Just Like That…' - InStyle

Maybe the third time is the charm—that's what may be in store for And Just Like That...'s Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). During the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfronts presentation, Parker opened up about the couple's rekindled romance in the upcoming third season of AJLT. Fans may remember that the show's sophomore season ended with a cliffhanger that involved Aidan's teenage sons, and in a quick conversation with HBO CEO Casey Bloys, Parker explained that the upcoming season, which just started production and is probably going to hit Max next year, is about Carrie embracing spontaneity and romance without overthinking things.

“It’s time for her to commit more to being the relevant person she wants to be. So, what does that mean, and where might that take a person?” Parker said. “Aidan plays a somewhat significant part in the answer to that question.”

During the presentation, Parker also addressed how fans are starting to revisit the original Sex and the City and seeing Carrie in a not-so-flattering light. Many viewers—even more than ever since the show is on both Netflix and Max—are starting to see her as a villain, which Parker says is an interesting way to approach things.

“Despite the shortcomings and trespasses, Carrie is a decent person in a lot of ways. At least, I think so. I’m fond of her," she said. "She’s been interesting to watch. It would be far less interesting if she was constantly reliable and a good person."

The AV Club notes that Parker also showcased some of her signature humor during the chat. When asked what advice she'd give Bradshaw, she explained what viewers all scream at the screen every time we do a re-watch: "Don’t have an affair, don’t lose Aidan’s beloved dog, and get a financial planner."

And Just Like That... season 3 will reunite Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sarita Choudhury, Evan Handler, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Nicole Ari Parker, Chris Jackson, and Alexa Swinton. However, Sara Ramirez and Karen Pittman won't be coming back. And as for Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones? We can only hope for more of her.
